HARNEK NAIN - HN MUSIC -

Alright, I gotta set the record straight, so listen up and read this carefully. I know all the artists sliding into my DMs will. I’m not trying to be rude or anything, but it is what it is.

Yo, some mans out here think dropping music is easy. Maybe it is, depending on where you’re at in the game, but let me be real with you,,,,, it ain't like that for most of us. This shit takes hard work, and you better have a solid crew backing you up. Releasing a track ain't just some walk in the park. I’m doing this for fun, but don't get it twisted,,,,, what a label can do? That ain't my lane. I’m putting out my own tracks cause I got cover songs collecting dust on my hard drives. And honestly, why would a label even mess with covers anyway?

I wear a lot of hats in this game, but don’t take what I say as facts,,,,, do your own homework. These are just my opinions. I’m still out here learning and growing. I’m no label, haven’t dropped anyone else’s music, and I don’t plan to and I will not. My goals? They ain't what most artists are chasing. Not planning on doing show’s but if they come, why not ( cash in ) you gets me. Honestly, I got plenty of DJs lined up ready to handle that for me, but I just ain’t paid it much attention. If it happens, cool, I’ll deal with it then, but right now, I’m not too bothered.

I make beats, produce, and create my own content. Yeah, I might help an artist out here and there, throw together some bits, but I ain’t responsible for their music. My hustle? It’s on a whole different style from what the industry pro’s are on when releasing music.

So, do your own research. The marketing tips I posted the other day? That’s cause y’all keep askin' me the same shit. I’m just tryna put you on game—educate yourself. When I say nothing is hard, I mean it, but it still takes a lot of work, time, and effort.

Uploading your music to a distribution service? That’s light work, but that’s like 2% of the hustle. Don’t get it twisted,,,,, just cause I said it’s straightforward doesn’t mean it’s easy for you. That’s just my perspective, with all the knowledge and experience I have.

My skill set’s are different from yours, and yours is different from mine. You might be crazy talented, but don’t just take my word for it,,,,, do your own research in releasing your music. I’m no CEO of a record label, I’m no lawyer, I didn’t create the music business, and you might even know some shit I don’t. I’m just a human out here, sharing my opinions. I am just creating content.

If I produce, mix, and master a track for an artist, I might shoot a reel for 'em, but don’t confuse me for a record label. I will be dropping my own music soon, but I ain’t stressing like an artist. For me, it’s like a lottery ticket,,,,, if it blows up, dope; if not, whatever. I’m more into software, beat sales, sample packs and brand placements, and I keep that on the low, cause those are my personal goals. When I post online, it’s just showing my journey,,,,, trying to make it work…..call it a hobby or a little side hustle. Look, I’d rather have you hit me up for music production than have me trying to answer questions I don’t even know. See, many of you usually get an answer from me saying I don’t know.

Now, about that marketing stuff,,,,,let me keep it 100. It’s expensive as fuck to do it properly, and one song might drain your pockets dry. Most artists don’t even touch this area cause they should be more focused on the art. Plus, they need a manager to handle that stuff anyway, that’s basic info. If I wanted to be a artist I would have a manager for sure to handle that stuff for me. Who know’s I might even get a manager in the future if things work out in this movement. but for now, i’m cool..

I’ve been in this music game for 20 years, worked on a ton of projects. I roll with pros,,,,, I make the music, they handle the rest. They don’t ask me for nothing but the beats, basically pre and post production cause there’s too much other shit to deal with. So my thought process? It’s on a different style. My expectations? Way different from yours. Honestly, dropping music with artists might be easy for some, but that’s not my lane.

Look, I’m a chilling dude with an open heart, sharing this info cause I don’t wanna be responsible for anyone’s decision when releasing there music. A lot of artists try to get me to release their tracks, but I’m not interested. Just cause I make music, get vocals from artists for my projects doesn’t mean I’m fully working with them. Usually, it’s cause I got a personal relationship with them, or we collaborated on something.

I do this for me cause I love music,,,,, it’s my passion, but it’s not the most important thing to me,,,,, it’s just fun. I make beats, so yeah, it takes me time, and I might as well get paid for it. I chase commercial placement’s for brand advertisements really.

From now on, I’m showing my journey from start to finish as I drop my music. Whatever I do or say, don’t take it too seriously,,,,,do your own research. I might make it look easy, but you ain’t seeing everything happening behind the scenes. I’m cutting the process down into short vids cause I’m making content for the viewers, but it’s all real,,,,, how I upload, market, and all the numbers. I’ll be showing a lot, maybe even some label stuff, but in my own way,,,,, whatever works for me, I’m doing it.

Just remember, it might not be the “right” way, so again, do your own research if you see me do anything. It’s really just some entertainment, showing my process, my way.

Look, I’ll share what’s working for me, and yeah, I’ll be promoting other products on the way from sponsors I’m getting. But I’m building my platform, and yes, there’ll be stuff to buy that I created, like a beat-making course, planners, sample packs and software mainly for producers. What ever I feel like doing I will post.

Basically, I’m showing' all the ups and downs with my audience as I drop my music, how I grow my music and grow my following. I’ll be telling them how I’m doing it, and yeah, it might be a good way for you to see what worked for me and what didn’t. I’ll be recording, producing, involving the viewers, and engaging with the audience for there feedback, sharing info and everything. But don’t get it twisted,,,,, I got nothing to lose. If it works, great; if not, who cares. So when you see my stuff, you know what it’s about.

Yo, I’ve been getting DMs like, “Teach me how to release music” after I put out that marketing post and even before, I was just trying to be helpful, but, nah, go and learn it yourself.

Almost forgot to mention, I’m not a lawyer. Some of you have even been sending me contracts and stuff to check out,,,,yo, that’s your business to handle, not mine. Every time that happens, you’re only gonna get one answer from me: get a lawyer.

Just so we're clear, not everyone following my page is an artist. The content I'm creating is mainly for non-artists,,,,, students and others who want to see my process for publishing music. I'm here to show how I do it, what steps I take, and to motivate y'all in achieving your own goals. I want to help you plan, execute, and inspire.

It might sound confusing, but don’t make your moves just cause I said so or if i’m doing it a certain way. If anything, take the work ethic from me and apply it to your own grind.

I’m not here to teach shit cause I’m still figuring it out too. I could front like I know it all, but I don’t. I’m a pro at making beats and producing, so if you need that, hit me up. But the release game? That’s on you, if things change in the future, then I will go with the flow.

Most of the artists you look up to are with labels or have been at some point in their careers. Yeah, I’ve got music on Spotify and all that, but that’s all thanks to a label’s backing,,,,, I don’t know the ins and outs of that game. I’ll probably end up dropping my original music through a label and a manager If that time comes anyway.

Had to get this off my chest,,,,, don’t be out here wasting your money or risking your career based on what I say or how I do things. I’m just doing me. Make the right moves, or hit up the pros for this kind of info.

Yeah, I’m gonna build my audience, level up, and share my journey. I’m gonna do whatever I want, right or wrong. You handle your own business and do your own research.

If you spot any mistakes in my stuff with spelling or wording, bear with me,,,,, I’m a one-man band doing this all by myself.

Anyways stay blessed and keep doing what you doing.

Love
